1. About this Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ATAS Markets Limited ("ATAS Markets", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Hong Kong, uses cookies and similar technologies on atasmarkets.com, its subdomains (including the account area and help centre), and in our emails.
Read it together with our Privacy Policy. Where cookies collect personal data, we handle that data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and any other data protection laws that apply to you (see Section 6).
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site recognise your browser on later visits, remember your settings, and understand how the site is used.
- First-party cookies are set by ATAS Markets. Third-party cookies are set by other companies whose services we use, such as analytics or advertising providers.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
We also use similar technologies that work in a comparable way, and this Policy covers them too:
- Local storage and session storage: data saved in your browser, for example interface preferences.
- Pixels, tags, and SDKs: small pieces of code that report an event (such as a sign-up or purchase) to an analytics or advertising provider.
- Email tracking pixels: tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.

4.5 Embedded content
Some pages embed videos (for example YouTube) or community widgets. We use privacy-enhanced / click-to-load embeds. The provider sets its cookies only after you click to play or load the content, and only if you have accepted the relevant cookie category. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policy.
5. The ATAS Markets desktop software
The ATAS Markets desktop application does not use browser cookies. It sends licence-validation, update, and (if enabled) diagnostic data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn off optional diagnostic data in Settings → Privacy inside the application.
6. Your choices and consent
6.1 Our consent banner
When you first visit the Website, a banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customise by category. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the Website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
We apply our consent settings by visitor location:

6.2 Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Website, such as login and checkout, from working. Help pages are available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge in each browser's support centre.

6.4 Email tracking
You can prevent email open tracking by disabling automatic image loading in your email client. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email.
7. Data transfers
Some cookie providers listed above are located outside Hong Kong, mainly in the United States and the European Union. Data collected through their cookies may be transferred and processed there, subject to the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this Policy
We will update this Policy when we add, remove, or change cookies, or when the law changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change requires new consent, the banner will ask you again.
